The Beginning

COG has had a lot of E-board meetings in preparation for our interest meeting and social media launch! In addition, we have already assisted one queen in strengthening her Crown! A freshman at GWU stopped by our E-board meeting asking for some hair tips.

That night COG founder, Faith Elie assisted her in tying Bantu knots*. The next day Milan proudly wore her hair down (she always liked hiding it in a pony tail)!

IMG_1783A few weeks later, Milan was inspired to do the big chop*, and cut off her relaxed hair, letting her natural hair enjoy the glory. We think she looks great, don’t you!?

IMG_5177We haven’t even had our interest meeting and we are already educating, empowering and uplifting women. It is going to be a fantastic year!
